Pastor Melissa Scott is the Pastor and Teacher of the Los Angeles University Cathedral--home to the largest Protestant congregation in Downtown Los Angeles.
Employing a research-laden approach to her teaching of the Bible in the Old and New Testaments, she unfolds and presents her teaching in context with history and the sciences. A natural linguist with command of twenty languages, she digs deeply into her vast collection of ancient manuscripts to find and communicate the purest understanding of what the original inspired writers of the Bible had to say.
Pastor Melissa Scott was ordained by her late husband, Dr. Gene Scott, and became the full time pastor of the Los Angeles University Cathedral in 2005 when Dr. Scott passed away.

She is amazing and we are watching in Pa. I would like to know her educational background and degrees she holds for credibility purposes for a paper I am doing, Her late husband has a Phd but I cannot find what her educational background is. Where did she attend college? Major and Minors? Degrees? I know she has formal education however finding the information has been problematic.

This woman is nuts. I cannot believe that anyone buys her version of "history". She has distorted every translation of current biblical study in order to denigrate Catholics and anyone who disagrees with her version of the Protestant Reformation. However, you will never hear use the proper term of the "reformation", because she has not study history (biblical or otherwise). Listen closely to her words and you will find a pure hater (against "God's" will) of any religion other than her version of "Protestantism". We are all "god's" children......in her words "not if you are Catholic".
