Biography
Stanley Stub Hubbard is the chair, chief executive officer and president of Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. Hubbard grew up on his family's farm on the St. Croix River. His mother, Didrikke, was the daughter of the founder of the Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. His father is the man that started the family broadcasting business with the launch of WAMD radio in 1923. The enterprise grew into television and, when Hubbard was about fifteen years old, his dad became the first in the United States to own a color television outlet. His parents later divorced and Hubbard Sr. died in 1992. Prior to his father's death, Hubbard's younger brother Dick died tragically in a car crash in 1972.
