Sean P. Hayes is a "Jack" of many trades. Currently starring on the hit NBC situation comedy Will And Grace, he plays Will's wisecracking, self-obsessed gay best friend, Jack McFarland. His success playing this crazy charismatic character is far removed from his days making a living as a classical pianist while attending Illinois State University.

A gifted musician, Hayes graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in performing and conducting. But his talents did not end there. He also appeared in some of the University's theatrical productions. After graduating, he worked in the Chicago Theater, as well as the Pleasant Run Theater, where he was the musical director. He also acted in such productions as The Music Man, West Side Story, and Fiddler On The Roof. At the Steppenwolf Theater, he drew on his musical talents to compose original music for a production of Antigone.
