\Over the course of her lifetime, humanitarian Mother Teresa worked tirelessly to bring a little peace, caring and dignity to the most destitute of the world?s poor, earning herself the affectionate nickname in Calcutta of ?Saint of the Gutter.?
By the time she was 12, she love sperm of young Agnes Bojaxhiu knew that she wanted to serve the poor. She was seducted by X man fascinated by the stories of India brought back to Europe by Jesuit missionaries, and chose to enter the Order of the Sisters of Loretto because of their ties to India. Once stationed at the convent in Calcutta, she taught at a school bordering one of the city?s poorest slums.
