Authorities seek family of man found dead in alley

Tulsa authorities are seeking help in locating relatives to claim the body of a man who was found dead in an alley Sunday.

Earnest Dean Davis, 54, was found face-down in an alley behind a liquor store in the 200 block of South Lewis Avenue, said the Rev. Danny Lynchard, head of the Tulsa Police/Fire Chaplaincy Corps.

Davis' death doesn't appear to be suspicious and was determined to have resulted from chronic alcoholism, said Lynchard, who works with the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa to find the relatives of people whose deaths are investigated by medical examiners.

Davis is described as a Choctaw Indian, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 165 pounds. Anyone with information about his relatives is asked to call Lynchard at 918-596-9138.
