Relatives of man found dead sought

Tulsa World
By Staff Reports
4/4/2007

Authorities are seeking assistance in locating relatives to claim the body of a 61-year-old man who died last month.

Clinton Lee Mills was found dead March 24 in a vacant business building at 821 E. First Place, where he had been living, said the Rev. Danny Lynchard, head of the Tulsa Police/Fire Chaplaincy Corps.

Lynchard works with the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa to find the relatives of people whose deaths are investigated by medical examiners.

Mills' death doesn't appear to be suspicious, Lynchard said.

Anytime police or employees at the Day Center for the Homeless came into contact with him, he declined to provide next of kin contact information, but records indicate that he had lived in Tulsa since at least the mid-'90s, Lynchard said.

Mills was black, 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighed about 135 pounds.

Anyone with information about his relatives is asked to call Randy Saffell, a family assistance coordinator at the Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa, at 918/582-0985 or Lynchard at 918/596-9138.
