Keri Russell was just one of many aspiring starlets until 1998, when she was cast as the title character on the television show Felicity. She then, Russell and her famous locks have become bona fide celebrity.

Russell's first acting job was as a teenager when she became a Mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse Club television show, along with Britney Spears. She made her first feature film appearance with a small part in 1992's Honey I Blew Up the Kid. However, for the next several years, her work consisted of guest appearances on successful shows or supporting roles in television movies.

Her career seemed to be on the verge of taking off in 1994, when she was cast as the lead in the sitcom Daddy's Girls, but the show was quickly cancelled.
