Halle Maria Berry (born August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio) is a multi-racial Emmy and Golden Globe award winning actress, and she became the first black actress to win an Academy Award (for her 2001 role in Monster's Ball). In April of 2007 Halle received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This former fashion model and beauty queen has graced the silver screen in over 30 films, and has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s most notable film actresses, beginning with starring as a crack addict in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever in 1991 and continuing all the way to an Oscar win, and Storm in the multi-million dollar X-Men franchise. With a hefty resume, and only more to come, this beauty should never stop being one of the reigning queens of the cinema.
