While pursuing roles that demonstrate her ambition and drive as an actor, Demi Moore moved from a B-list flop to a box-office hit maker within a decade. Once the highest paid actress in Hollywood, Moore has not only dabbled in acting, but also with modeling and business.
Moore grew up as Demetria Guynes in a trailer park in Roswell, New Mexico. Prior to stardom, Moore's childhood was filled with instability and chaos. Her biological father left before she was born and her stepfather, Danny Guynes, often changed jobs causing the family to move several times. Her parents were alcoholic, beatings and arguing were excessive in the household, and eventually after her parents' divorce, Guynes committed suicide. Moore's troubled upbringing lead her to escape into the arts and, in due time, her own personal turmoil with drugs.
