Strikingly handsome, David Beckham has become a household name in England. This soccer player is hard working, strikes the ball cleanly and with great power, has a wonderful technique and is deadly with free kicks, with a temper to match, and has a reputation for scoring spectacular goals. This along with his marriage to Victoria Adams of the singing group The Spice Girls has made him a favorite among soccer fans.
Beckham made his league debut at home against Leeds United in 1995. His first team debut was two and a half years earlier when he came on as a substitute, 20 minutes from time. Four months later, in January 1993, he turned professional with Manchester United.
