Biography
Born in 1957, Robert Henry Dedman Jr., more commonly known as Bob, has followed his father's footsteps in many ways. Like his dad, Bob received a BA in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and also went to complete an MBA and a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Southern Methodist University.
Armed with an outstanding education, the junior Dedman served as Director of Corporate Planning at his father's company, ClubCorp, from 1980 to 1984. He left for a brief three year stint with Salomon Brothers Inc. serving as an associate specializing in mergers and acquisitions. In 1987, Dedman returned to ClubCorp as Chief Financial Officer and was named President and Chief Operating Officer in 1989. After his father stepped down in 1998, Dedman was elected to the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer, positions he retains today.
