In researching Pastor Melissa Scott to determine her position on the Doctrines of the Christian Faith I found so much other than what I was looking for regarding this matter. I am by definition a fundamental Judaic-Christian. I served as a Pastor /Missionary, and hospital Chaplain for a total of 20 years active and 3 years inactive due to a disabling illness. I know what it is like to live in a fish Bowl and have those who thought they knew what was right criticize and demand perfection of me. Due to that experience I can certainly understand why Pastor Melissa Scott and any other Minister (more so if your ministry is very public) remains Guarded. Yes, I believe the Bible in its original text is the inerrant word of God. God the Holy Sprit guided men through the Canonization process to choose the truly God breathed words to be the Holy Bible. I further believe that the King James 1611, 4th revision, the New King James version, and the New American Standard version are the most correct version, and then the NIV is perhaps the most accurate in today’s standard English. I am troubled that the New King James, New American Standard, and NIV are all copywrited and technically you are suppose to get the copywriters permission to use it for any purpose than personal reading, just like music. With that said let me move on.

I just started watching her and I have yet see her teach anything inappropriately. I have investigated the issue of a woman Pastor as per 1 Timothy chapters 2 and 3. Paul was told by God, if they do things differently, ok that is there choice as long as the true gospel is being taught; Salvation is only through Jesus the Christ!
Ms Scott calling herself a Pastor is not my problem. It is hers and those who are members of that Church. If they are Ok with it and accept that is their business. I also understand that women have insight on matters that we as men seem to lack full understanding. I know that since watching her, every message she has taught has been 100% accurate and on target! In fact her messages have been a great source of comfort and strength for me. I am facing some issues that require extra prayer, faith and study. Her messages about giants in our lives, being faithful to God, turmoil, tribulations in our lives is just part of the journey; so maintain your faith in God, heed the Holy Sprit, all made possible because of Jesus the Christ! The past is under the Blood, forgiven and forgotten; something many people need to wake up too!

I say, ‘So what!’ that is between Pastor Gene, Melissa and God! Perhaps God understood their intellect, ability to teach each other and other capabilities we don’t see. As to her education, I’m not hung up about it, weather she was taught by Pastor Gene with self study or a major university it doesn’t matter! Look how Jesus taught the Apostles and Disciples, at His feet when they gather together; no university or seminary; no degree (accept Paul)! Can you imagine, today they would be written off as useless!
The criticism about the white board and her accent is ridiculous! It makes sense to have everything prewritten, it saves time! I have seen her add or subtract words on the ‘fly’; add the accent for genuine affect and you have a perfect score! I couldn’t believe any one with an education would criticize her accent change!
