Andy Taylor grew up the eldest of four children in Cullercoats, England, in a house with an outside toilet and a tin bath. His father, a fisherman, encouraged Taylor at the age of 5 to begin guitar lessons. The young boy paid jazz musician Dave Black, who lived across the road,
